GENERAL RULES

1. No spam of any kind.
1a. One-off messages in #random is fine, just don't continuously send spammy messages. Same goes for image dumping; don't do this.
2. Do not start drama, take it to a DM conversation or literally anywhere else. Arguing over code/etc. isn't drama.
2a. This includes finger pointing and "Mr.LoL is going around spamming "oh yeah woo yeah oh yeah woo yeah" on servers!!!" kinds of messages.
3. Only advertise in #advertising. This includes Discord guild invites and game modifications.
3a. We are not responsible if your server happens to be raided from posting a link in #advertising, we don't condone raiding whatsoever.
4. Don't post loads of absolute garbage (dank memes, unrelated media, etc.). We're not that kind of guild/server. If it's relevant to a conversation, sure, but don't do it a whole lot.
4a. #random is our unrelated, out of context media sharing channel, put these things there. Don't mass dump.
5. Do not post NSFW media.
5a. If it's something that's not meant to be NSFW on purpose (like the Blockland Encyclopedia Dramatica page, someone known to retweet/reblog very explicit content on their twitter/tumblr/etc. on rare occasions, or someone who models dicks/full human anatomy or something and it's not the main focus point of an article/etc), you can post it so long as you provide a content warning.
5b. You are allowed to post potentially phobia-inducing images (closeups of bugs or sponges, some way you managed to injure yourself, etc.) so long as you put your image/etc. behind a spoiler tag or tick the "Mark as spoiler" checkbox when uploading an image and including a content warning (e.g. "cw: closeup of spider"). It will be deleted otherwise.

As an example:
6. Name changes can be requested to a moderator or trial moderator so long as your name change is within reason and you're not asking often. We won't bite, we promise!
6a. Please keep it within ASCII rules, we're not fans of those fancy text fonts.
7. Do not distribute game modifications that are commonly used with malicious intent. You will be permanently banned without warning.
8. Keep it civil. We want to be inclusive and trying to flame others or bait others into arguments is not something we condone here. If you hate a specific group of people, keep it to yourself. If it bothers you that this rule exists, keep it to yourself.
8a. Slurs are not tolerated here, your message will be deleted if it contains any. Purposefully offensive media will also fall under this rule.
9. Keep #advertising discussion in #general unless you don't mind it being purged later. It's meant to be used like a bulletin board.
9a. The #advertising channel is not meant to be a replacement for a forum, subreddit, or etc.; please keep it short and to the point.
10. Trying to find loopholes around rules will result in a stronger punishment than what we would typically hand out. Don't test us.
11. The staff reserves the ability to kick, ban, or mute you for any reason we see fit.
11a. If any staff member is abusing their powers, the server owner will handle it.
12. Hide spoilers for new, high traffic media behind the spoiler tags, as well as marking any videos/images as sensitive, similar to content warnings.
12a. This will only apply during the first 3 months of anything newly released. (ex: Half Life: Alyx released on March 23rd, 2020. We ask that all media/discussion related to the game that spoils the plot be hidden/content warning tagged until June 23rd, 2020.)
13. Please try to stick to using English. If you absolutely must, we are also comfortable moderating French and Swedish, but this is primarily an English-speaking community.

HELP CHANNEL RULES

1. Don't mention a large amount of users when asking for help. Be patient and wait for someone to respond; you are allowed to mention the mentionable roles as well -- this is what they were created for.
We also recommend asking for help in your official game forums.
2. Please keep questions relevant to the channel.
If it's specifically about modeling, keep it in #modeling-help.
If it's specifically programming, keep it in #coding-help.
If you have an issue with anything else, ask in #other-help.
3. Don't harass/put down those asking questions. They just want help; if you don't want to help them, don't help them. If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say it.
